Default Spy shots 19.06.07 -> Gallardo V8

Lamborghini they are working on a new engine in that car. Their benchmarking car which they brought to the ring was a Audi S4 which has a V8 in it. If you look closer you see that the exhaust on the Lambo are different. So, in the future they will have a smaler engine variant.

This is completely new to me :shock:

Unless they build a new entry-level Lambo with that engine, I don't think putting a V8 on the Gallardo is a good idea IMO. Totally unnecessary.
A V8 Gallardo doesn't make much sense to me either. With the R8 I don't understand what's the point of this.... they would be almost the same car. I suppose this V8 engine is the same used in the RS4/V8.

If they're gonna build a new car to compete with the future Dino, I guess it's ok, but again it will be an R8 with the Lambo badge.

I really don't understand what's going on with the VW group. They're making the cars all the same.....

If Gallardo V10 cost $200,000 (assumes), with V8 will cost $170,000 more or less
I'm think it is

If this turns out to be an R8/Dino/911 rival, shame on Lamborghini for being so lazy! At least come up with an all-new car/design.

Maybe its a test mule - they are planning to make a car new with V8 based on Gallardo chassis and they are testing it.

Yeah, that's the most plausible idea..

I wonder if it's the same 4.2L V8 from the RS4..

I don't believe in that ... Doesn't seems good to Lambo to "downsize" the range ...
