This might do the trick for GM

New pontiac G8 with 50/50 weight distribution, ind rear suspension, RWD, V8, LSD....
if they manage to step up in build quality, I think customers may change their heart and give it a chance.

I like the front end. This could be a good car. A 2 door would be interesting but i doubt they would.

the dunnydore (commodore) build quality isnt too bad. although there was a recall about leaky fuel as soon as it hit the showroom
i think you guys would like it, cheapest V8 in this country. a lot of the journos are raving about it. keep in mind though, they only have the ford falcon to compare with.

Ya I dont know WTF they have been thinking the past few years. They used to make a lot of RWD V8s, then they switched
This car looks pretty nice, I want to see it in person before I make a judgement though.

The problem with the GTO was the name. It was just marketed as something which it was not, and people got disappointed. The G8 should easier to sell.

I kinda agree to this, if they were to market it as just a sports coupe with out the GTO name it may lower some ppl's expectation and lower the noise against it.

I think the new "GTO" sucked cuz of everything EXCEPT the name. However, this G8 looks great and has everything a modern car should. Hopefully its not super heavy. BTW what ever happened to "naming" a car.
