interesting point. I suppose, though, that car makers such as BMW and Mercedes don't go through the same routine? They, I suppose, are more worried about their heigh standard expectations.
i think that might have been more true a decade ago than now. sometimes i think people are a little too cynical about things like that, mostly people of an earlier generation who might have been screwed because of something like that. i don't think i would wait an entire year or two years just to make sure there wasn't a bunch of shit wrong with it. i mean i have a damn warranty.
maybe that statment is true. but any car could have a recall, etc. even when the car has been 4-5 years in the market.
beetles had 3 years when they had a recall from vw with respect a support of the battery, windstars when they had 2 years, and it was from the little motors used in the wipers.
if u plan to buy a car, first ask some questions to ppl that have the same car, and you'll find the characteristics and flaws
my dad never buys first-model years... or at least thats what he said till he got the Pilot. lol but he trusts honda because of our 12-year-old problem-free accord which has .5 million km's on it.
