Default A slight dealer markup on the SLR

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6315

This markup seems a little steep, $750,000 USD as of writing this (reserve not met), for a car that lists at around $300,000. And they are totally lying about the 600 build limit, well as far as I have read. Car stated that it was 3500 and Jay Leno in Top Gear said that Merc would keep making them as long as there was demand.

Lets think of the other cars that we could buy for less:
Porsche CGT
Porsche GT1 (im not sure what they are selling for second hand tho)
Porsche GT2
Pagani Zonda
Koenigsegg
Saleen S7
Lambo Murcielago
Ford GT
Spyker
Ferrari F50
Ferrari Enzo (second hand...maybe)
etc etc

And i would rather have any of these cars

That´s bullshit for sure..."The winning bidder will have to deposit with us a total of $100,000 which will be NON-REFUNDABLE if for any reason the winning bidder can not complete the transaction within 10 days of the SLR McLaren's arrival to our property."...They just want to rip people off for the 100K...

when was Jay Leno on Top Gear??

Leno wasn't on Top Gear as far as I know. But he did say that in an article he wrote for a magazine.

How do you figure that?
'cause I that car can't be 750,000...and it also says that only 600 will be made, and that's not accurate info...so I guess it's all full of shit...and then they ask for a 100,000 non refundable deposit, and they don't take responsability if they don't recieve the car...it's all bullshit...

I'd rather have a SL600 AND a F360 for the sticker of the SLR.

I rather buy it from the official liaison dealer. No scam and security on delivery. BTW is it legal to ask for a deposit?
