Default Dauer 962 vs Gemballa GTR750

Dauer 962:
http://www.fast-autos.net/dauer/dauer962.html

Gemballa GTR 750
http://www.fast-autos.net/gemballa/gemballagtr750.html

Which would be your pick?

I think the wing on the 750 makes it look like a rice rocket and the 962 just looks so much better in my opinion. The 962 is also faster and is more of a race car for the road.

You're right man, the spoiler makes it look riced out, nt it is still a 911, that's why I pick it. the second car is ugly from the front, shame they don't have a pic of the back, but it is still a fast car. 730bhp at that weight makes it one hell of a mean machine. And 0-60km/h in 2.6 secs is insane.

Sorry about the link issue, whenever I click on the links it goes to the correct link, something must be wrong with my computer...

But I was just wondering about the 962, its really faster than a McLaren F1 in top speed and acceleration. If it is so much faster and it won so many endurance races in the 80's why do people not respect it as much as the F1?

not that I can afford one, but one can buy a used porsche 962 for $300K and up. it's a factory racing porsche, so it's not US street legal (neither is the dauer?), there's no interior nor driver comfort at all. on the other hand, there's full ground effects, they're real racing machines, and the 956/962s ruled the 80's sportscar scene. pretty sure these 20 yr old machines could trounce any zonda, enzo, carrera GT or koenisegg out there. but if you could get that, maybe you could get a later jag, toyota, or nissan GTP/group C car that in-turn tounced the porsches, the oneupsmanship never ends.

erm..i dunno if its really fair to compare these 2 cars... one is a replica of a race car that was homologated for the street, and the other is a tuner car of a road car.

That is true, but they are two modified Porsches that are both road legal and as far as I know, they are the top two road-legal Porsches with the most bhp.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong...

935 or 911 gt1 are similar than 962,i think

It has to be Dauer, if for no other reason than an insane top speed and that because of the sleek lines and being made of carbon-fibre, it doesn't reflect radar or laser guns and so you can't be caught by mobile speed traps when you are doing slightly excessive speeds!

Why the hell would you say that the wing makes it a rice mobile, or rice'ish? Its for a reason which is downforce. Now on a car like this I can beliave that because it can achive speeds were aero grip is availible.

NOw on honda civics the wings are there to make the car look fast, witout any other function. NOW thats RICE.

Yes thank you I know that the wing is there for a reason...and I know that this car is amazingly fast...that is why I compared it with the Dauer 962. All I am saying is that it LOOKS like those huge wings that they put on rice rockets..I never said that the wing makes it a rice mobile...
