Hopefully that's not the final bodywork, but holy shit at the engine if that turns out to be correct... <3

Well the car is still a prototype, so it could very well be altered still. The 2006 racing version has plenty of vents and bulges, so hopefully they integrate some more of those into the final bodywork package.

Interesting theory actually...

A little update here as more reports roll out...
Following the launch of the SLK 55 AMG Black Series, Mercedes is planning to roll out another special edition model called the CLK 63 AMG Black Series. The car is believed to have a 530 horsepower engine — which is 50 hp more than the regular CLK 63. It also has ultra-wide fenders, adjustable AMG suspension, and composite brakes.

Black Series makes the most sense thus far, as I really don't see them making a commemorative Saftey Car (I don't believe they ever have either).

All reports are now saying this is indeed a Black Edition with 530hp out of the 6.3L V8. Also supposed to be a bit lighter than the standard CLK 63.

It's not a DTM, and it's 'only' going to have 530hp, it's the CLK Black Edition.

Haha yea, I don't understand why they're incapable of building a modern sub-3500 lb car... Even the DTM AMG was over 3,800. Just imagine what those AMG powerplants could do in a properly weighted car...
