well here in Pittsburgh its dirt cheap to buy a house. mainly b/c no one is moving in, its a college town, and its old with old people in it. but back home in MD where my parents live a house this size would be pushing 300,000 dollars where i got this one for around 80,000.

avg house price in the UK is ~ £200k (~$350k) and that buys you a semi-detached house with 3 bedrooms. And it's no way as big as your house.

Nice house BTW - looks tidy, and for $80k it looks a bargain. :good:

US$80000!?!?!?!?!?????????!!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! ?!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?????!?!??!?!?!??!

House prices in Sydney are sky high at the moment, although plateauing and likely to fall. Not sure when I'll be able to buy my own house, to be honest.

nice, nice...thats got to be one of the better things about the US, there are places where you can get amazing houses for close to free (ok i dont have 1% of what ur house cost, but who cares )

are there still enough young ppl around to have some fun? or is it an incredibly boring neighbourhood?

here in palm beach, a house like that would cost upwards of $600K, because if i remembercorectly, palm beach county is one of the fastest growing (if not THE fastest growing) counties in the US. i bought my house for around 200K 4 years ago. now its worth OVER 700, mainly because i have renovated it (its an old house).

Nice house SWT. 80k is very cheap for that house IMO. You can buy a 100-1125 square meter house with 3 rooms and saloon for that price in Turkey.
