Rejoice! The new Opel/Vauxhall/Chevrolet Corsa is here!

Sorry. I'd just been a long time since I made a post.

Anyways, new Corsa, not available in the US so it doesn't matter to me blah blah blah, same as the last one blah blah blah. Premiers in the British Motor Show...

So how does it look? Why, exactly as Autobild/Huckfeldt said it would.

With its self-confident looks and friendly, distinctive face, the new Opel Corsa is ready for its first public appearance. The British International Motor Show (July 18 – 30) in London, Europe’s trend-setting metropolis, will be the stage for the Corsa’s world premiere. Unmistakable characteristics of the new Corsa include unique design with strong, sporty lines, a newly-developed chassis for agile and safe cornering, new high-tech features in this class, as well as a new high-quality interior offering plenty of space, comfort, and opportunities for individualization. The fourth generation of Opel’s popular model, which has sold more than 9.4 million units alone in Europe since 1982, will be available at dealerships in October 2006.

The Corsa is one of my favorite cars of its type, and the previous one was pretty cool. But in those pics, this one doesn't look so good. It has the same look of the new Opel models wich is very good, and some details from the Grande Punto, but there's something missing.

The worst thing is those front lights, they're too big. I will wait to see it on the streets. I hope it will looks better 8)

Now that looks ok, I like that! Have you heard anything spec wise mihals? Looks like it could compete with the fiesta ST. But without that OPC bodykit, it just looks ugly IMO, its asif someone put a new clio in photoshop and used the skew trasformation tool and squashed it up abit.

^^ That's not a spyshot. That's just a photoshop with a sized down Astra OPC

Anyway the new Corsa OPC will have a 1.6 Turbo engine with 180hp, wich sounds great. Let's see if the car will be as fun as other models 8)

[rant mode]"Hmmmm, not too bad for an Opel", is what I thought when the Calibra, Tigras and the last Astra came out. It applies to this one as well. However, it's amazing how soon the novelty wears off with these cars and they're just as boring and bland as everything else to leave the Opel factories. Sure, they'll wave pictures of the OPC version at you, but the ones you're going to see double park, cutting you off, denting your car are the dreary versions. Mobile black holes, sucking every bit of pleasure out of the driver. The only passion they evoke is the passion with which I detest them.[/rant mode]

Better than clio and 207. 1.6 liter 180hp opc version would be the real competitor to clio rs and 207 gti. But I prefer Grande Punto than a Corsa (accept OPC version).
