Kind of like Formula Ford... it's racing sure, but why bother?

I once heard the only reason the Guillia and Guiletta were succesful race cars, is that thay sucked as regular cars..

What's next? People going to wet their pants over Ford Cortina and Ford Escort race videos..

Classic and vintage racing Ferraris have at least great street cars as a heritage..
fack off! the last time ANY american race car series was even CLOSE to being worthwhile was the Trans Am series in the late 60s and early 70s....since then, American cars have been absolute SHIT and IRRELEVANT!

Alfa Romeos ran in the TA series back then with PROPER american muscle (not the BS american muscle these days)

the original Alfa GTVs and GTAs were glorious to drive.....you're just jealous since your family probably owned a Chevy Celebrity

there ain't nothing like the sound of an Alfa exhaust....nothing.
WHos talking american? I am not.

I grew up in South Africa watching euor-style saloon car racing.

Alfas, Fords, Chevy's, BMW's, Datsuns etc. - all Euro models.

SO if anything I have more valid experience to draw on thatn you

The Alfas were like the Datsuns... cheap entrants for weekend warriors... back markers and slow traffic

Again with the anti-american bias and it does not even have a place in the discussion.

As I say, it's a really cool video, but as far as those old Alfas being "the greatest" - thank god they don'tt build cars like they used to - have any of you ever actually driven an old alfa saloon car from the 70's? hehe

They are historical curiosites at best

I have been in and driven in more alfas than you care to know - they are no different to VW Golfs, Jettas, Toyota Corrolas, Datsuns or Fiats from the same generation

ACtually I take that back, they were worse, - terrible electronics, bad rust, terrible interiors, very unreliable

But then you already knew that

^^^ I thought that the video was great and actually breathed life into some otherwise dull alfa saloon cars

I've been here since the beginning.. Why do you think the topic is still alive and has this many posts and views..

I mean, just how much interest and following could some old, slow, noisy alfas get? hehe
