Default Maybach 57S photoshooting in St.Moritz

Today, there is just a small set of pics because I'm on a 56K modem ( which kills my nerves)

This Maybach 57S was presented in a tent in St.Moritz during the Polo event.

The 57S is available in only two color combos:
black with white interiour or silvermetallic (there was one in geneva) with a dark interiour.
The AMG powered 6litre V12 Biturbo engine produces 612hp and 1000Nm  - the 2.735tons are accelerated from 0-100km/h in 5.0s only. The feeling on a racetrack should be surprisingly good (according to a testdriver which compared the SLR and a 57S on a racetrack, but well maybe this snetence is more PR work )

On the other side is the luxury handcrafted car with an endless list of "built-in" features, i.e. there are 21 loudspeakers in a standard model ....

Well, you're going to ask, who will buy such a car with sportscar performances and luxury equipment ??

I don't know? I guess they wanted to create a hi-end drivers-car for a rich arabic son of a scheich ?

Now let's have a look at a few pics, IMO the design is quite nice, I like the "shiny-diamond" front lights

everybody knows these situations - one is about to shoot a picture, and then, a person walks in your field of view and grrrrrrr.. blocks your sight ...... but if your lucky (very rare), you just enjoy the view

here's the picture of the drivers side, that I actually wanted

With an ass like that inside I really don't think it would be pointless

Nice set of pics, StMoritzer. I guess the Merc Designo 'options' are also available on the Maybach for customers who don't like the two standard colour combos?

Not many angles possible but you took some nice pictures

I wonder why we don't see those 57S very often while they keep showing the already old 57 and 62 models

^the 57S is for sure not a chauffeur-car, this model is made to be driven by the owner.

According to Maybach people, also many of the other MAybachs incl the large 62 model are driven by the owner himself. So far I haven's seen a single one ( St.M, Geneva and Frankfurt) with the classic window behind the chauffeur to separate the chauffeur form the passengers.

No, the 57S is only available in two color schenmes.

(well, money should make it possible I guess )
