Supercar Rally
From 2004, so likely a repost, but I was wondering if anyone had more information on this thing and better video clips? They some great cars participating...the only criticism is the lack of a Subaru Forester S among the other "super" cars.

Woo woo!
So, was this some kind of fund raiser and excuse to drive exotics with other exotics?
I wish the US weren't so anti...we need stuff like that...although, wither everyone spread so far apart, it's harder I suppose...

The supercar rally took place from 2001 to 2004, then either it went stealth, either it stopped. BTW, my bad, I was there at the start in 2003. In 2004 I catched up with them in Lugano.
It's just another rally like Gumball or Cannonball, but a higher standard and way more civilized. Only real exoitcs can quality and definitely only mature owners seem to take part.

so pretty much, a bunch of boring rich guys... Thats why I love the gumball, seems like there is more passion among gumball participants. Its got more spirit, while this is just a bland assortment of really...really nice cars. F40 LM...Zonda...enzo's cgt's f50...Seems like heaven.

It's definately a different crowd. Don't confuse passion with recklessness and don't confuse spirit with taking dangerous chances and risky driving. Gumball is definately more "entertaining" to watch, but I think participating in either would have been a blast. So your choice would be driving with "boring" responsible rich guys, or reckless rich guys who basically know they can buy their way out of being punks to everyone else on the road, because they have money. I personally would rather associate myself with people that aren't driving like assholes, but that's me. F40, McLaren F1, EB110, Zonda, Enoz, CGT....hardly bland....and more consistently bad-ass than those signed up for Gumball...

Useless to revamp the debate, but IMO there is no spirit or passion among the Gumballer.. maybe among some of them ok, but most of them are a bunch of immature idiots. Dangerous, reckless and so on. At first the Gumball was a nice thing IMO, but it grew out of control lately and that's why they have more and more problems when they need to pick their route.
