Default Nissan Murano's are dieing

First off i'm freakin out with this holloween background. haha Anyways my car broke down again...i think it's the shift linkage since my first and second gear don't seem to be engaging into anything, but thats not the point of this thread. I was talking to the tow truck driver and i asked him if he tows VW very often, and he said that they're about average, but then added that he has towed 25 Nissan Muranos in the last week. I was shocked to hear that, but does anyone know what is going on with the Muranos that they're all breaking down at once?

There's no arguing with that, but 25 in a week is beyond a pos.

im guessing Nissan Murano's are not known for their reliablity but yeah i agree with you 25 a week from one tow truck driver is outrageous. but i guess that what happens to crossovers

I almost feel like some of them are lying just to be content with themselves that their money isn't going to waist. Just my opinion though, but i don't see why a two truck driver would pick on a certain car and this guy sounded shocked when he was looking at the thread and posted his problems

You have to be kidding.... with 45000 on my Murano:
1. Warped Front rotors replaced
2. Alternator replaced-serious problem car died
3. CD changer skips-replacement on order
4. power outlet (used to be called cigarette lighter) in console is dead
5. Numerous rattles (windows, under front winshield) fixed,
6. Gas mileage no where near advertized
Give me back my gas guzzling Ford Expedition
I have a feeling that the alternator is the big calpret since it was mentioned at the beginning of the thread too.

+1 @ warped Rotors.

This is almost an across the board things for nissan's. But hey- replacing rotors on a yearly basis gives us a good reason to upgrade to brembos!

Do Brembos only come on the 350? Then hell yeah, warp the F$$$ out of those, haha.

actually all the Nissan cars are available with Brembos on the top models like the SE-R versions of the Sentra and Altima and the Maxima is also available with them just like they are only available on certain trim levels of the 350Z

hmmm, i was thinking it would be the CVT, since it handles a lot of power (for a CVT) and its ther first time they mated a CVT to such a high power engine.
