The question remains, will the jack up the price on HD-DVD discs and will there be cheap chinese made players available. No point having support for HD-DVD if each disc costs $50+.

They better support maintaining backward cmpatibility to current CD, CDRW, DVD, DVDR and DVDRW discs in the new drives.

And the inks on writable disks needs to have better life than current inks/disks.
