Default Paris : F430 spider, Quattroporte, Gallardo, DB9, E30 M3 ...

Last week I spent 5 days in Paris, a few people told me "it's not the good period to go there, there's no really nice cars there, they all went to south of france" and so on ... everything was planed and well, it can only be better than here :bah:

So I went there and I saw, I saw the dark and narrow streets (+cloudy weather) which make your digicam go crazy, and the polarizer didn't help at all, the automatic mode always sets a shutter speed around 1/40s- 1/50s and an aperture of f2.8, first time I noticed that I was like "omg, that's gonna be a long long long photoshoot" ... and that was
As if it wasn't enough, the trafic is amazingly dense, normally I would've gone to the other side of the street in order to take a proper shot, that was nearly impossible there
To finish with, no special car, just the regular bunch of mercs ...

Well, all that complaining to tell you how disappointed I finally was, I could not do what I wanted to do and here's the result, typical beginner pics in some cases so don't expect anything great (I'm planing another Monaco trip next summer hopefully)

As a conclusion ...

I know how hard it could be to shoot cars in Paris, but the amount is always good, so well worth the trip IMO

You saw some nice cars and managed some nice pics, everybody should be happy

Don't be so harsh on yourself - the pics are fine and some excellent cars too!

The first F430 is great - perfect colour for it! I also really like the yellow Gallardo, they are special to me now.

Thanks alot, and your Monaco trip is something to be excited about.

Looks like I was too pissed off when I wrote that, I have some plans for the next 2/3 weeks (cars related obviously) so it could and will be better then

Yep, that's my favorite color, I'd loved a red leather interior though
Concerning the gallardo pic (both), I tried a new photoshop trick to improve them (selected the highlights, pasted them in a new layer and set the mode "multiply", it's like another filter :good: it worked quite good here, that's why the yellow looks so hmmm ...golden )

Thanks Darkel for the pix from la Ville Lumière.

I particularly like the RS6+ with the Tour Eiffel behind and the yellow Audi Gallardo... oups I mean Lambo Gallardo.

Great catch though for a bad period the catch cars in Paris

AR1 There are only a handful in Europe! Seeing an Alpina B12 on the road is a rare coincidence as well.
