Firefox Bookmarks gone?
I turn on my computer and launch firefox, and my bookmarks are all gone?
and their is this weird shaking on my screen in firefox. like it jumps 1 or to pixels?

I just read on their site that you can't get them back, but this shaking is killing me... time for a full re-intall and I could get most of my bookmarks back from IE, but not all the new ones, also the latest news icon is gone too...

Toronto, have you uninstalled completely firefox and then restarted your pc?
you know how shitty is winxp and how a fresh start is the best thing to do

Do a search for the bookmark.htm, that's where the bookmarks are stored in Firefox (or mozilla). Not sure if the file is corrupted or not. Move the file to another location so you can have a "fresh" new bookmark.
Since you can open it as a html file with a list of links, you should be able to get most of your bookmarks back that way. Good luck!
edit: forgot to mention, you can import the old bookmark file in Bookmark Manager.

weird... never happened to me. and I'm hoping that I don't loose my bookmarks... I'm copying the file to save it

Toronto, you use Windowblinds to emulate OSX by any chance?

Don't use windblinds, I have a prober windows theme that somewhat looks like OS X? why?

that can cause the weird vibrations in firefox
I remember reading about it, the guy said you have to disable the firefox skinning, and then load up a new skin.

and I don't use a skin in firefox?
and why would you think is would make it look like OS X ?
