yeah, show cars are now based on riced more than in performance or in rarity. I dont like where these shows are heading. I wish there were more shows like the german auto show. I live in florida and the only show i could get to see is riced shows... if I am wrong, if someones knows of a worthy car show in florida, please tell me

well my car club, in association with a couple local clubs will be throwing a car show up here in ky in te summer, there will prolly be a few ricers show up, but the amjority of the cars will be fast, nice, well built cars and we are even haveing a ruler of the dyno contest to see whos rice, and whos fast =) i plan on winning it with the project "beast" i have, which when completed will be a 1993 MR2 turbo, i have the motor nearly done now, and it should be good for 550+ hp so if anyone is interested in attending the show, jabbas world members get in free lol

nah it be cool =) more the better lol =) the mr2 i have that i am bulding, i am using the engine i was gonna put in my corolla, but i found the shell of the mr2 cheap, it has arais low comp pistons, eagle h-beam rods, hks valve springs & cams, polished heads, portmatched intake/exhaust manifolds, 800cc injectors, and i plan on using a supra TT fuel pump, and a custom intercooling setup i have designed, i am hoping for at least 500hp, the setup with the right turbo should be good for more than that, i just havent decided what turbo to use, i have found a T72, but those things are monsterous, and good for 1000+ hp lol but i think thats too much, i would like to get at least halfway down the track before i get boost lol ill have pics on my website within the week!

Hey PaulGT2164, what year is your Celica, and how much boost are you running on the engine? I hope to some day turbo my Celica, but I am short on cash right now so it is not something I can do for awhile.

i am running about 15psi of boost, i have built the 5sfe using race engineering pistons, eagle rods, and its been polished, i am also using the intercoolers from the Audi S4, cause they are semi-small and work nicely, i am using the burien toyota turbo kit, cause it was easy to install and included all the pieces i needed. My celica is a GT, and as soon as i get ahold of the another 3SGTE the turbo 5SFE i currently have will be sold, with all the stock parts also, for i kept them. the 5sfe turned out to be easy to turbo, contrary to popular belief, and i think it could prolly hold more boost, but i havent turned up the knob any

I have to agree with the rest of you guys - he better be putting in some serious go with the show. /14 additional horsepower/? And nitrous isn't going to cut it...
If he's going to shell out the money for a GTR bodykit deal, he might as well pack in the V8 from the GTR to go with it

Everything that guy touches turns to pure shit. What a retard. He takes the definition of an understated performance car and turns it in to some stupid bling bling show car bullshit and then doesn't even touch it under the hood. Next "perfomance" upgrade: audio and a telemetry system?! WTF?!?
I place a great deal of blame squarely on him for the beginnings of the whole "OMG teh Supra 0wNs yur Ferrari F50 w/ its 1200 hp lol!!!11" bs you see on boards everywhere (no offense to Supra owners, but its a car like any other). Same with all the dumb neons and stuff. And nitrous?!?! on an M3!!!!!! What a rediculous idea. He really should sit back and look at the abominations he creates for like two seconds.
