This is the statement AP issued. All there is at the moment
ST. LOUIS – A blaze at an industrial plant sent huge fireballs shooting into the sky Friday afternoon and cast a towering cloud of black smoke over the area.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries and no word on the cause of the rapid-fire series of explosions at Praxair Distribution, which processes propane and other gases for industrial use.
Shelly Warner, the wife of an employee, told KSDK-TV that her husband called to tell her that it was believed that all employees were evacuated safely.
The plant is in a mostly residential area south of downtown St. Louis. Residents were being evacuated from the neighborhoods nearby.
The explosions sent flames more than 50 feet in the air. The fire and smoke could be seen for several miles.
