Yes, the 'saloon' version of the M3 is much missed since the E36. I think they'd not have had any trouble at all selling 000s of units of an E46 M3 sedan

I'm curious. Normally, car magazines get these types of cars too test before they are released to the public, to make the public want it even more. Why havent I seen very many road tests or comparos with the new M5? I dont know if i am just looking at the wrong magazines or what, because i had no idea when the M5 was going to be launched in America. I know Car and Driver did a preview on it a couple of months ago, but that was it. I never heard anything after that, untill the pictures today. Is it true that there is a button to de-tune the engine, down to "only" 400 hp?

Thanks for sharing those M5 snaps.
The link that I have added with this message is a picture of the M5 in action at the Nordschleife. Maybe you have seen this picture before, which is perfectly possible, although that I have cropped the original file and made some other changes as well > http://users.pandora.be/jokke1/Photo.../B.Cars/M5.jpg <
By the way, I have already seen a M5 in Belgium. It had dealer plates on it so ... .

Normally, if everything goes well I will visit the nurbrugring the upcoming weekend on Saterday 8)

Cheers

I'm suprised the M5 isn't out until September in Canada, it goes on sale later this month in Australia and we are usually behind North America.

There is quite a few scans available of E60 M5 reviews/tests already

Yes, the M5 does have a 'power' button so that you can run the car at either 400hp or the full 507hp.
