It's great news for BMW, if they have their mainselling series performing well and being deseriable. Sounds like the 330i is a complete package.
I'm really interested into seeing what the coupes will look like.. They typically would follow about 1 - 2 years later, right?

Yeah typically one year later. Sedan, then Coupe and Convertible a year later , then the M Car.
So the you could still grab a E46 Coupe for MY2006.
(At least that was the way for the E36 and E46.)

i like this part the most "A second braking aide, Brake Standby, involves the calipers being moved to within 1.0 millimeter of the discs when the car’s brain notices an abrupt lift from the accelerator pedal" thats really great

Just came from the local launch of the 3 Series and it does look better in real life than in the photos we've seen. The headlamps are totally clear/silver and I suspect the orange only comes out when signaling. I was able to talk to the BMW Phil president and he said they might bring in the 320d in the future. Crumbs. :x
