My choice, although it was not easy is the Ferrari 430.Its gorgeous, fast,it has a fantastic engine and an engine note that gives me goosebumps.I could not say the same thing for the 355 which i find boring and not one of the all time great ferraris. If looks was the most important factor to choose a car i would go for the DB9 Aston Martin but it is not as exotic as the ferrari or the lamborghini. While i was typing the message i started having second thoughts, the gallardo could be my first choice, it s really hard,i dont know.

I choose the DB9, because of the combination of looks and great engine! The car does not look so poshy, I like that!

If I just got the car for a days driving then I would have to take one of the Ferrari's....and although the F355 is a classic I would take the F430 (Spider probably) as I would like to experience the latest technolgies
However I wouldn't be disappointed in any of those cars - any would make for a great drive (although the GT2 with its RWD could be a handful)

i'd have the F355...as crazayjay said. if the 992 GT2 had been a 993, it'd have been that1...the 996 GT2 just doesn't excite me

Very difficult choice, but in the end I chose the F430. The F355 and Gallardo are a close tied second. The F355 is quite possibly the most beautiful modern Ferrari, but the F430 with its sharknose is brilliant as well. I'd like one with a manual gearbox in TdF blue with tan interior.
David Yu, writer and evo's fast fleet F355 Spider owner, wrote on Ferrarichat not long ago about a trip to France in an F430 Berlinetta (he has a Spider on order): "The first time I feel I have driven a completely perfect car." http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...7&page=1&pp=20

I'm totally amazed by the F430 by now, hence the choice. But if I needed the car for really long trips, I would go for the DB9.
I reckon a 996 Turbo S should also be included as it offers both performance (which is very close to the F430) and the usability of the Aston.

I picked the DB9, mainly because it would look nice next to my Vanquish S

well, sure it's not easy to choose, but if i had to chose one of them, i would go for the aston martin V8 Vantage, cause it's gorgeous, brand new, not as show off as ferrari s for example, and because 380hp is not bad . power, beauty, soul...

Or mainly because you're British.

BTW - the guy writing is Simon George, evo-contributor and Murc driver.
Next months evo should be a treat if they decide to put the F430 on the fast-fleet Didn't know that UK cars were already here... must start to hunt for my first 430 8)

430 as a spider, superior performance, and its drop dead gorgeous.
