From what I understand, they don't allow videotaping rides anymore. Don't know the reason...maybe they were worried it would encourage the drivers to show off or something?

Are you planning to have a ride in the Ring Taxi? Well, maybe you should already book your ride, cause the 2005 ride will probably already be overbooked. Those Ring Taxi rides are very popular.

If my memory serves me right the reason is cause quite a lot of accidents happen on the ring. If everybody is video-shooting their rides, there will be a lot of Nordschleife crash videos around, which they view as bad publicity. Hence they banned the use of video camera's and photo camera's on track.

The motor sounds awesome! Hopefully, I'll see one on the road shortly, but I'm better they'll be more rare than the E39s, when those were new.
Awesome vid, the sound of the motor was music to my ears!
I don't think Sabine was driving, in the vid, an older gentleman got in the driver's seat.

Ill go to germany sometime in juloy 2006... I should reserve a ticket from NOW? I dont even know exact dates lol My friend wants to go to germany and around (various places in germany included). Because of this, I cannot pinpoint a date!

Another thing, If I get INternational Drivers license, can I get to drive it? There is a driving school right? I cant find specific info on the driving school though. Anyone here know what is required and how long it lasts?

In my country, I can get an international drivers license pretty fast so Id be great if I can go there and drive it.

As I said those ring taxi rides are extremely popular. Everybody wants a ride in them. So if you want to make a reservation know, there probably won't be any free place in the couple of months. You can of course feel lucky and show up at the ring without reservation hoping somebody with reservation doesn't show up so you can 'steal' his/her ride. But those chances are little

You can't drive the ring taxi's yourself, but there are some driving courses held at the ring. Some of them use their cars, others require you to bring your own car. Since the Nürburgring has a status of a public toll road on public days, you idd should have a driver's license valid to drive in Germany/Europe.

I don't know if it's necessary to get an International driver's license, maybe yours is good enough (I've no clue about that matter actually). And I have to disappoint, I don't know any sites of Nürburgring driving schools by hard. Maybe our German friends living near the ring can help you
