I wouldn't say that it's THAT special, the Stang didn't get very far and the Merc was stock.
Still a cool vid to watch.

Stock...yes. But a 6.5 L. Biturbo V12 is extremely far from the usual "stock".
The vids aren't working for me.

Traction control really helped that Mercedes, cool vid. Surprised on the highway, but it's good to see a basic modded SVT stang(mid 400hp i assume) beat a supposedly fast expensive Merc.

+bottle of nitro(100bhp)
1/4 mile:10.895@132 MPH

interesting, i suppose that sounds reasonable assuming that those numbers are rwhp/rwtq and the runs were done with no spray.
i have seen the video where treynor ran his stock SL65 to the tune of 11.7-11.8 so i would think that the CL would run similar times.

Could be...but I think the CL is quite a bit heavier even than the SL.

The Sept. '04 'car' mag. did an 11.8s @116 mph in a CL65 at Santa Pod (they ran it against an Ariel Atom).
So the high 10, low 11s time mentioned above for the stang makes sense.

Cool vid, that CL65 really takes off out of the hole...I wasn't expecting the Cobra to pull so well on it, but when I saw the hp figures that makes sense.
Amazing what you can do with a Cobra and some spare cash. 8)
