Looking at the arse, i'm thinking it is the MKV supra. You have to realize they wouldn't bring out a car in the 350z and rx-8 catogory and not call it a supra. The name alone would give them sales. And if it's in the supercar class i assume they would put a lexus badge on it.

is it just me or does the car have the same lines as the third gen. supra? i wonder is this could be the next supra in the wraps because with Nissan working on their new Skykine and Honda working on their new NSX, Toyota needed an image car.

I think that the supra will return in 2007 2005 models are already out and we would have seen SOMETHING if it was going to be out in 2006. 2007 is a reasonable number.

Interesting info. Too be honest I don't mind at all that Toyota is making a supercar. I think more in the lines of: the more the merrier 8)
And because Toyota is a mass production manufacturer this could be something different. Asia has never really given us any popular production supercar (and no I'm not forgetting the NSX).
I'm certainly curious about this one.
But how on earth does anyone know it's a Toyota...

IT seems to have a very similar roof line to the MKIV Supra, but the rest of the car is much more wedge shaped and angular rahter than the rounded look of the MKIV.
Would be nice to see Toyota come out with something that could eclipse the Supra.

And the guy in your avatar doesn't? LOL
But back on topic, IMHO from what I can make out of the design/shape it does seem to have promise visually. But it will be the technical and performance aspects which will be the deciding factors for me.

Does anyone know if it's going to be front engine or mid-engine???
Also I agree with changing the tail lights.
