SHIT! jus got my new mobo and psu, installed them and it still isn't working!!!!!
i think i need a new cpu as well, must have been damaged durin the fire!!!
boy am i pissed off, it's saturday evening and therefore i can't do anything till monday!!!! even worse is it's gonna be hard to find an athlon xp processor for sale with 266mhz fsb!!!

aks, dont be so stingy...we all know that u can just use ur weekly canteen allowance to buy a new pc...and neways u dont even have to buy it...u can get geeves the butler to do that

anyway, i had my cpu tested and it's fine so i am clueless now!! all i can think of is it mite be a dual-channel memory problem as there is nothin comin up on the screen

Hmmmm...well, I think that turning on the PC a second time (after all that smoke came out) was a silly thing to do. It's pretty strange that suck a event took place as Gigabyte makes very good motherboards.

i only turned it on to see where the problem was comin from as whatever was smoking was damaged anyway
it wasn't the board's fault, gigabyte is a fairly good brand, it was my 6 year-old power supply that jus let too much power through the circuit
anyway, i got an antec one now and it is a beauty, jus gotta get the whole thing workin!!
