Nice, but I cannot get away from the impression that the EVO is not really pushing.
The first time you see the EVO not getting away from the grey car behind it.
What does a K20 (hybrid) swap entail?

The key will be to see the "full video". The Honda has a stock internal and stock ECU, but it's got something going on. An EVO at 22psi is no slouch, so either the Honda is really pumped, or the EVO wasn't trying that hard...

the k20 hybrid is a newer swap for hondas using the K20 acura rsx type motor, Hasport just released several months ago the mounts to do it
the hasport demo car for the swap is tuned to 400+ hp
the civic isnt rice, it looks stock
the K20 in the type S is 200+ hp
the civic it is in is a 1992-1995 hatchaback, which is very lightwieght
so if you do the math, that car outrunning the EVO is believable, and the civic is prolly running some bolt on
dont cry rice everytime a civic beats something, especially one that looks stock , and is obvioiusly fast, 200+ hp in a 2000 -2200 lb car will make anything quick

Is the Civic really that light? I had a 1985 Corolla GT-S and in race form, it was still 2000 lbs. That's stripped with a rollcage. If the Civic was indeed stock, I don't think it's only 2200 lbs. unless it's stripped out...which would not make it stock.
At 22psi of boost, I think the EVO would have to be much faster than what it looked like in the video...
Do you know the stock hp rating on the K20 motor? At freeway speeds, it's mostly a matter of horsepower and the EVO is about 100hp more. I don't think the lighter weight plays as big a roll on the freeway as it does from accelerating at lower speeds....
My humble opinion of course.

1994 Honda CX Hatchback manual:
2108lb
Yes, that's with a small and light-weight engine, the K20 probably weighs more, but with a stripped interior, you could probably come to around 2200lb. The K20 is 200hp stock...and with some minor mods, easily 220hp...which would make for a quick car, although I don't think it could beat an Evo with 22psi of boost.
unless it's stripped out...which would not make it stock.

LOL dude...and swapping a fucking engine is still stock!?!
It doesn't look like the Evo is trying very hard to me...and I sure don't hear anything coming from the Evo...maybe its just all the racket coming from that Civic drowning out the sound of the Evo. My guess is the Evo is just filming the Civic doing some pulls...and the Civic guy thought they were racing...haha.

my friend had a GSR in a 88 hatch that weighed 1800 lbs and he was embarassing all kinds of cars left and right.
the point of his car was to look ugly, go fast and suprise/embarass guys.
it accomplished the goals.

seriously that EVO was like cruising in a single gear that whole time. He never shifted the damn thing and 22psi would have been causing some weight transfer on that car.

Yeah, but I thought the guy was trying to say his car was stock, except for the motorswap, since he's touting stock internals, blah blah blah.
I agree with everyone though, that EVO just isn't trying too hard. No weight shift when shifting...it certainly did -sound- like it was trying, but then again, that Civic was loud.
In any case, I'm sure the Civic is fast...but faster than an EVO at 22psi? Not without a lot of work.
