Default Some pics of a hillclimb race held nearby

Hi....

I opened this new section according to the chance that i had to watch a hillclimb race held nearby yesterday.

Although the pics dont describe the gorgeous usual supercars shown in this section, i saw interesting to add some cars which take part in hillclimb races in here, since 100 cars took part in this race, some of them have a very high level of modifications, whereas others are great fun to drive....there you go the bunch of cars, accompanied with some description of them

Lets start with the stars of the hillclimb race in terms of performances...the two latest specs formula 3000 that take part in the hillclimbs nearby...(about 550bhp, 480kg, and sequential gearbox)

Followed by the Osella PA 20 CN (about 340bhp, 450 kg, and sequential gearbox as well)

A C2 Sport Prototype Norma

A Formula 3 car

The CM cars.....Some similar cars to be shown by dani some time ago according to the hillclimb race held in Andorra

And then....lets start with the touring cars such as the following BMW 320 Class II FIA(a very usual car in the european touring car championship between 1996 and 2000)

The latest specs Pug 306 Maxi (the Evo III ex World Rallying Championship pug 306, with every latest features such as the sequential 7 speed gearbox, electronic launch control...)

The very modified Renault 5 Turbo..for instance its a 1600 engine instead of 1400....

Some very pure Escort Cosworth GrA...with the latest features such as the X-Trac 6 speed gearbox, around 360 bhp, big brakes, 18" wheels.....

An ex World Rallying Championship Mitsubishi Galant VR4 Group A

A pair of BMW M3 E-36 Group A

An ugly GrA ford Sierra Cosworth,...although the car is ugly, this ford sierra must have around 300 bhp...and always is great to watch someone who goes to get some real fun with the rear wheel drive ford sierra cosworth

The Group F class gt turbo commented in another topic....1600 cc, 225bhp, some sequential gearbox in it, some bang-bang as well, lightened the car by using some fiber

And the 210 bhp ex-Renault Sport Renault 11 Group A....

Followed by the classic rear wheel drive cars which always are very great to see....such as the Escort RS2000

The Alpine A110

The Group F Simca 1000 Rallye Group F

The BMW 2002

A bunch of pics of the modified Renault 5 GT Turbo or Renault 11 Turbo that took part in this race....for me simply is my favourite Hot-Hatch to see ever in any race on tarmac

Then some efficient hot hatches....such as the 205 GTI 16v

The Renault Clio / Megane Cup

Some cars great to create some slides easily and in a cheap way such as the E-30 325i

Or some Ford Sierra

And finally...some barely modified hot hatches such as the pug 205 GTI/Rallye, the Citroen Saxo VTS 16v, the Clio 16v, the Integrale...

The driver of the 325i in question just arrived too late and too quick to the bend, and he was forced to spin the car...but it didnt matter to him...he just fully accelerated the car, create some slides till the car gets the straight direction, and meanwhile the driver was having some smile

No problem at all...the race in question is a special race since everyone wants to take part in this race due to the roads characteristics....its very techical and it has many and different bends.....thats why the number of drivers in this race was 100...normally the average of cars in the basque champioship is about 70....and its one of the most beautiful races to see nearby as well...ill try to get some pics about the road from the top of it
