you can build it for a lot cheaper than that... the kit is only around 5k...

get yourself a junker, a motor, and a trans, and you're all set.

this guy only used a pushrod motor too... you could def go nuts with the $$$... but he certainly didn't.
Well when you are building something like this then you would't want a junker because the strength would be comprimised more than likely. Only A pushrod? a Ford 351 can push 450hp from the factory. And the kit you are referring to is only the engine mounts part you have to get the RWD IRS kit aswell, along with all the time to build it. You have to upgrade the tires and Brakes since stock would NOT hold up so the cost can go up quicker than you think and to do it proper you will spend some cash.

I was talking about cost... not HP. If he went fuel injected, etc obviously it would be a lot more costly and complicated.

btw... if anyone wanted to read more about the conversion, here are some links:
You can read about the car here.
http://www.kugelkomponents.com/focus/focus.html
http://www.theracingreport.com/docs/8565.html

A company that sells completed cars.

"Our East coast dealer in Florida (JD Motorsports 1-888-907-0477) also installs and he figures a first class conversion with new parts is about $20,000.00. The conversion parts, less engine, transmission and rear end purchased from us would cost about $5,500.00."

Actually, converting a 351 to EFI isnt all that hard/expensive at all... 351's are cheap motos to work on.
