Ive never been fortunate enough to hear how a TVR sounds, does anyone have any sound or video clips for comparison? I am personally a ferrari V8 guy like many here... The sound of it when my neighbor passes by on saturday morning is breathtaking!

i like the sound of a Bugatti Veyron, sounds like it has a V8 and a jet engine in it.

I agree gis the Ferrari V8 is a brilliant sounding engine. Actually... what would win in a race?? A Tuscan or a 360CS ??? It would be close either way 8)

it would be close in a straight line, but around a twisty road or a track i thinkt he 360CS would have the edge.but still be pretty dam close

Well it's all down to opinion. I love TVR's, they sound great. But i prefer the sound of a Zonda or Carrera GT.

I LOVE the sound of TVR's...
I know I'm in the minority here when I say I would seriously take a TVR over a Ferrari (sorry Tiff ).
p.s
TVR Tuscan/Speed 6 would be fine.

1971 365 GTB4 Daytona...or perhaps the Vanquish/DB7 Vantage/DB9 ?

I love TVR, they sound like nothing else, ferrari have a different sound, which I simply cannot get enough of.
May I introduce the Merc SLR?? Sounds like a bloody spitfire!!

TVR's do sound fantastic, but if you put say a tuscan next to a 360 or 360CS and dragged them, I think you'd be saying 360 everytime. I've heard them go one after another and the ferrari you just cannot beat. On its own the TVR sounds like it cannot be beaten in terms of sound but in comparison with a 360 there is no competition.
Although as sam said, all these opinions are in the Best sounding road car thread

ok ok . Every car has its own unique sound. i respect that but , the TVR is ENTIRELY hand made , and the only reason it may loose round a track is because it has no electronic computers driving the car for you , it is a drivers car, a pure car, its what cars should be, whats the point of driving if the computers doit for you, it takes the fun outta it and becomes dull.....

Thats also the reason i respect the impreza over the evo, impreza keeps up with the evo without any driving aids where as it seems the evo needs it to keep up...
