Because anyone with that kind of money can buy a Porsche or any other supercar, but this is one of a kind. Unique and completely different. Sure its not practical or normal but its creative. This, IMO, is what hot rodding is all about. One will always be able to buy a car from the factory, but to do something like this takes creativity and craftsmenship.

Yea I saw that car on "Rides." That is one kick-ass engine. I wonder if they have ever raced it. Oh and about your question Erez...

..First off, the owner probably doesn't think it is ugly. It is all about personal taste and I think it looks good. And I guess when you have the money, you can do something like this many times over.

I can't agree more with novass, you are right about the creativity and craftsmenship.. The car is one of a kind and just look at it.. It looks good. Even if it had 200HP it still looks good. I really like the paint job on it.

hahah, yea i've seen it in CHP, nice car. but its de-tuned(something you don't see in imports). thats right, it has more potential, but whats a 100 more hp when you got that much anyways

as i can see from the engine , the car would have too much lag of turbos, also the maineful is next to the head of the valves and cames which will case casket over heat . .. this car made for show as EVo said .. i would love buying it , but not race with it,

Im sure this car experiances some turbo lag, but it is built off a 406ci small block, so even before the turbos kick in this thing is already making some serious power. If you go to the chicayne.com website, there is quite an extensive amount of info on how the engine was built.

Also, this car was built by Troy Trepanier, who has said many times over that he does NOT build strictly show cars. Granted this isnt a daily driver but you can bet that it does get driven.

I don't really care about the 1000 hp, but the lines of that car are simply perfect
