256 should be enough, unless you;re a complete camera freak, in which case you'll shoot everything in 2048 X 1600 and edit it later. by my reckoning, all you need really is 1024 X 768, and that should give you about 300 to 400++ shots on one memroy card alone. (=

LOL with my old C-3000 I always hot only at 2048... (beside when in Geneva ).. now of course I shoot everything at 3200 but yes, when you need more pics there is no problem in reducing the size or quality

Guys - at least 1 x 256mb stick is a BARE minimum. When I go out, I will fill 3 x 128mb sticks in an afternoon.
It is digital data afater all - just delet thepics you don't want.. you are not "saving" anything by shooting in a lower resolution.
I love always having an empty memory stick just incase.
Memory sticks are dirt cheap in the US - so y'all must be able to get them cheap online.

Depends on your budget and what mode you shoot photos
I have 2 x 512meg CF cards and mostly shoot in RAW format, that just about gives me enough for 200 photos or 400 photos @ maximum JPEG quality

no need for 10MB.. 1-2 is just fine... and i am talking car pics.. i have a lot.. i would like to have more
and here from some reason 1024X768 is just about the biggest... i would love to see some of the car pics you people take in 1600x1200 or bigger...
but maybe its just me...

LOL 1600 is still enough of course I have stored lot of 3000 pixels ones too, but the problem is that basically the net is not really for such big pics.. they are meant for printing, so usually if you publish them, better to reduce to make things faster and easy to look at

Well, give me a model and I will tell you the price here.... for instance the Pro 1 or 300D EOS would be pretty easy since I looked at their prices for weeks

Sure, you could find some competitive prices on mediamark.ch or interdiscount.ch I think.. or at least average ones
