if I understood you correctly, then I can assure you - the hdd is probably 100% alright, it looks like you have something like MB or CPU fucked up. So if you can't get the disk out of your PC, then perhaps you can hope that the technicians will only replace that particular component and when the system boots alright, your HDD won't get formated...
