Well, the purpose the LSD is not to maintain even tire wear. The LSD helps put power down evenly. If you're in a drift and you're just lighting up the inner tire, you car will slow considerably more than if you could break traction with the outter tire with the grip. You'll also be able to maintain the drift angle longer because you'll be able to slip the tires longer. I think not having the LSD in the M12 actually helps keep it from falling into a snap oversteer, seeing as how it's so willing to oversteer as it is.
I would love to give a Noble a spin...

Yea thats the words i was trying to put  Providing even power distribution between the tires will provide even wear on the tires when drifting.
the noble probably be one of the most entertaining cars to drive. Even JC loved it.

I'm pretty sure the sr20det is turboed already, isn't it? I've always known Nissan engine codes to designate 't' for turbo(rightfully so). For instance the rb26dett is a twin turbo, and the rb25det is a single turbo, two 't's' versus one. And I believe there is a sr20de as well, none turbo.

Yeah, in the US, we got the SR20DE in the Sentra SE-R (I think).

180sx type X or any of the Slivias all the way. I have a 240sx that i am converting to a 180sx. They look great and have almost 50/50 weight distribution. They also have the SR20DET which in my mind is the best 4 bangers in the world!!! I have seen people running over 27PSI of boost on the stock bottom end. Besides Nissan really knows how to build um. I mean look at their race history, you have the 240Z the Skyline, the R390, the 300Z, all the Silvias, the GTIR.... need I continue
All i have to say is Nissan knows how to build an amazing car!!! 8)

doesnt the name have something to do with the engine displacement? ie the 180sx has the ca18det, a 1.8l. the 240sx has the ka24de, a 2.4l engine. the 200sx had the sr20det, a 2.0l.

You are almost right, but study before you try to apply your knowledge. The 180SX originally came with the CA18DET until the 1991 model year at which time Nissan switch to putting the SR20DET in it. The car was already named the 180SX, and Nissan did not want to change the name. The 180SX caried the SR20DET from 1991 to 1994 and again in 1996 when it reappeared on the market as the 180SX type X.
