I have a question guys concerning on an event I like...rally.

Why aren't there other names taking part in rally, I'm tired of only seeing

well mercedes wanted to take part in rallying in the 80's but then audi brought the quattro which had AWD where the merc only had RWD so mercedes decided to take part in circuit racing

Well, who knows how WRC will be in 20 years? In the past we had manufacturers racing rallies that don't race anymore, today we have some that 20 years ago weren't racing, so nobody can say in 20 years we won't see Porsche, BMW, Mercedes and Smart in the WRC season

Prodrive has tuned some E30 M3 for rallying in the 80's. Those cars were awsome!!!

I have to say, that maybe they won't let them participate, because of their huge

budget and knowhow, the smaller names will be forgotten

Merc, Bmw, VW,Porsche, Audi,etc... have more to lose when they enter the WRC than they could win with it. When they enter the WRC, they have to be competative from the first special stage to make a marketingprofit out of it. That's were its all about, anyone fan of Subaru before they entered the WRC????

B.T.W Most of these brands have no models which could be transfered to a WRC-winner.

VW participates the WRC with Skoda.
