Well,

skipping the Peugeot and FIAT from the equasion leaves you with 3 makes and 4 types which are all built on the same platform.
Depending on the know how and quality of the workshop you'll be using and all other things being equal I would go for the SEAT

pick up the Alfa 147 1.9 JTD Mjet (140hp) don't think about reliability it's the best. For me looks better than new golf and A3 and the engine is very good i've tested it.
Don't consider the Stilo it's ugly and handle like a truck

First thank to all for the reply.

Could you get a used sti ir evo? or a used m3?
Well I need the car for everyday use and the M3 ( which i think if fabulous) is not very practical.
At the moment I'm giving tracticality more importance than sports cars.

I know it doesn't sound good but remember i'm so student not trying to break the bank.

Sorry I didn't see the word "economical"... ops:

Buy a Japanese car, because of its reliability! Like Toyota Corolla...

Well if filling up wasn't a problem I'd say S3, but in your case I'd go for the A 3
It looks nice, good reliability, economical.

My friend has a A3 and I never heard any complaints, and he drives It like crazy
