you wouldnt be able to find a current gen M3 for that price anyway, they hold there
value. look for a vett you can find a year or 2 old vet for cheep, even a Z06
can be had for under 30k, vetts dont hold any resale value, they are cheep chevy

All I havet to say about the M3 deal is, if they couldnt handle the stress, they would break easy at the Nurburgring. I mean, they Got an M5 there and a new m3 and they dont even break in the engine... I dont hear them breaking down ever.

The "light" was fascetious ... but I did destroy an 1999 M3. And has been pointed out before, you can abuse anything to the point of destruction.

All you have to do is keep the car at the upper 5% of the rpm band for a half hour or so. Besides, getting any performance car to overheat and puke it's guts in a Houston summer is not that hard..

I will try go dig out and the paper work of the claim - it was a test drive and the dealer tried to charge me for damage - but my insurance simply parmed the claim off on their insurance..

AH HA!! so it wasn't an E46 M3. It was an E36 With the S52! The E46 M3 didn't show up until '02

Doesn't matter - it was a late model M3, about 18 months old at the time... and it died..
