the president of nissan in a press released stated the next gt-r would be here in 2007 (us) and that is would be competing performance wise with porsche 911 and that the pricing would be like that of an EVO8

so its only common logic that the next supra will be the same way
the car in the first of this post is not the next supra, its a nsx (hsc) competitor

toyota is a smart car company and they are playing it safe by keeping the next supra under wraps, i wouldnt be suprised if it is nothing like any of the currently circulating "spy" pics and artist conceptions

Check this out.
http://www.caranddriver.com/article....&page_number=1

450 hp AWD sounds pretty nice to me It also talks about it not using the 350z and G35 chassis's. That means its gunna be light. It says lotus is doing the suspension. That = I have read in a few other mags that what they say about Cosworth doing the engine is true as well. That also = . The two things Im not sure about is what engine will be used and the price. I had heard before that they will be using a destroked, high revving 3.2 liter version of the 350z power plant. But 350-380 was the claims, but 450 would be ok with me 8) As far as the price, I had heard $50,000 US would be appropriate (to put it in the same class as the S4, M3, Corvette, and such).
we will be getting it in the states. I dont know why this article is so unsure about it. I have been told we will get it for a long time now...

anyone will take the MKIV supra over the new one! if Toyota do sell it at $100,000 or higher i think they've to come up with something really really fast & reliable! it has to be competitive with the cars almost twice expensive to sell it at that price... i believe! cause most people will go.. yeah it goes fast & stuff... but its a toyota! i'm not one of them btw!
