The car will be a daily driver, but with some kick. Was leaning more towards an M3 cause of the evosport supercharger kit.

G35 i like, but my friend has one and it is sick, nismo head, vortex supercharger ..... i think it will be in sport compact car soon, anyway after that it kinda sucks to have the same car, especially since i am not really planning on spending 50k in upgrades, but 20-35k is more my budget.

o, i know they are different cars, but similiar, for me its the difference between:
used vs new
i am 29, so a g35 is more college, plus i love the m3 bodykits that are out

If you are gonna spend 40 to 50 k on a car then another 20 to 35k on upgrades why not get a P-Car and be done with it?

That is definitely sexier than either car with supercharge and bodykits and all, if that is what you car about.

E46 bmw m3 looks much nicer, both the exterior and the interior. Plus it has more power and maybe better handling. Maybe because I don't know that much about the G35. Also I don't know much about the prices because they are totally different here. But I'd go for the m3.

I will take some pictures when he gets the car beck from the shop, the G35 looks completely stock on the outside, except for the exhaust from Ingen, 19 inch Racing Harts, and o the 3 gauges on the drivers side. But when you pop the hood, the supercharger is the first thing i noticed.

I will try to take pics for you guys next week, i know its hard to believe someone would spend so much money on mods for a G35, but this guy does not like to lose at anything, i think he found out a Z owner at the same shop is going all out on his car as well, so he decided to out do him.

The supercharger from Evosport sounds good, because no one would expect an M3 to produce 500whp. But then again its 25K.

Thanks again for all the advice, you guys just made my decision easier, i think i will wait for the new M3 to come out , then these models will be cheaper =)

The main reason i want an M3, German engineering, fast, and not your typical ricer. But it will be my daily driver since i have to see clients all day long. So basically i am looking for something that i can drive everyday now, cause eventually i want to get the new 911 t when it comes out.

I want to thank you guys for all your help, its nice to get some real advice instead of , " just buy it man, you make enough", or "just wait for the M5"

I'd definitely go for the M3. Besides, the M3 has already taken on two years of depreciation so it's likely to lose less of its value than the Inifiniti when you resell in a couple of years.

Infiniti G35 is one of the most highly preserved values. I read it somewhere that these cars deppreciate very slowly. Not that it matters to me as I dont plan on selling my car anytime soon.

Anyway... let us know what you decide on. Its gonna be interesting to know what someone else facing the same situation as I did does. Everyone suggests M3 because its faster german and higher class (I love BMW's and I dont deny its better in every way than a G35), but the thing is.... Owning a car NEW is something special.

Loaded G35 with Sat and Prem and stuff is about 39000$ out the door... while M3 New BASE is 46 exlcluding everything.

I like the G35 coupe, but wouldn't take it over an M3. The M3 is infinately more of a sports car, if that's what your ultimate goal is. If you're looking for low maintenance, relatively sporty feel and a newer car, the G35 is the easy winner - especially if you're thinking of trading up in about 2-3 years.

The M3 is a much more harsh ride than the G35. When I drove the G35, I really didn't think it was that fast. The coupe, at like 280 horsepower felt okay. It could possibly be the gearing on the car. It's not slow, but I expected a little more. The M3 is a very quick car, the exhaust note is very shrill though, and that's something I really didn't like.

I think the interior bits on the G35 feel much much much more cheap. Lots of hard plastic and all. I think you'll get a lot more prestige with the M3 as well, if you care about that.

In the end, M3 over the G35 would be my personal choice...if you can manage to find a good one. At less than $40k, the M3s will have quite a bit of miles on them...and with German cars, prior maintenance is very important, or you're in for a whole lotta' spending, after you get the car. Also, an M3 is likely more to insure. But I don't know for sure.

M3 gets my vote. G35 wont be as fun as M3. Bimmer are driver kind of cars....get it!

M3 is a pure driving experience.

I like the G35, but the M3 takes this one hands down.

I hope all you voting for M3 consider that the choice is between a NEW and a USED car. A USED M3 obviously means RACED. I wouldnt want to own a car for 10 years that has been driven like hell for months.

Clearly M3 is a better car, but is it worth choosing it instead of an excellent 10-best-car G35 (I know, 3 series BMW is a 10-best-car too)

There is nothing wrong with choosing the G35. Nissan Skylines have always been drivers cars. As the G35 is essentially a Skyline V35, It will be a good drivers car

i have never driven m3 hopefully one day but this weekend i was able to drive a G35 coupe and it was the best car ive ever driven great acceleration, great handling, very very very good and fun

G35 is great... comparing a 2005 new with a 2002 old... Cant believe you would chose the M3. So... have you made your decision yet? whats taking so long!!!
