Maserati MC 12XX by Edo

170hp power increase The Edo Maserati MC 12R just got better. Where the MC 12R had a modest 70hp power increase, the MC 12XX is aiming for Ferrari FXX power levels, totalling the horsepowers under the hood at 800. Edo was never very happy with the Maserati MC 12, even comparing the sound of the car to a Nissan Primera, and has undoubtedly outdone himself this time around. So, if you have a MC12 sitting around, head on down to Ahlen, Germany. With purchasing this program you will also receive 1 day of testing with an Edo instructor, mechanics, data recording, transport and hospitality. http://www.worldcarfans.com/tuners/7...001.mini1L.jpg echnical data engine V12 cylinder 6.3 Ltr. power ca. 800 hp/(588 kW) / 8.500/min max. torque ca. 780 Nm / 5.800/min Power max. speed > 390 km/h 0 – 100 km/h ca. 3,2s 0 – 200 km/h ca. 9,0s 0 – 300 km/h ca. 19,0s Specials power increase 170 hp – contains new steel cylinder and piston 6.3 l (same like FXX ), new camshafts, new Titan valve springs, new Titan connecting rods, new oil cooling piston pipes, new exhaust manifolds, sport catalytic stainless, sport catalytic converter, sport air filter, air-ram system, fuel cooling system, new clutch, all bearings new, new oil pump, new gaskets, and dyno running with all work sport catalytic converter stainless with two level switch controlled sound system, new tail pipes in carbon volume of the exhaust per button push adjustable ceramic sport break system with 396 mm brake disc front and 360 mm brake disc rear, special brake pads in front and rear wheels can be painted in different designs tyre-air-pressure control system shows pressure and temperature per wheel headlamp-cover hand made form makrolon design modification outside for example complete different colour Independently adjustable dumping technology – rebound and compression dumping like FIA – GT MC12 air-in-take from carbon Weight reducing programm 100 kg !! I say WOW!    |
im not a big fan of flashy designs or paintjobs but this doesn't look bad at all... and extra power can't hurt can it? :P
[edit] and wow, 100kg weight savings! this car's gonna fly :D Also true racing suspension/damping parts sound nice :) |
Awesome, but I'm afraid it's not street legal (at least not with the weight savings).
Wonder if anyone will put this engine in his Enzo... |
Nice car, love the specs but hate the rims :x
|
I love it :!: Money, money, money, it's a richmen's world :!:

This is madness! :D
Judging from those specs, they really did a thourough job. Incredible that they managed to extract an extra 170hp from that engine! And I can't see why it wouldn't be street legal, it even has low back-pressure sport catalytic converters. Now let's wait for the first MC12 XX vids 8) |

ive read that edo did wonders for the mc12 with its mc12r. this should be pretty amazing, cant wait to see it get tested
|
Interesting info, LEXION, thanx!
According to german "Sportcars" magazine, they saved the weight by removing things like hand brake and the water tank for windscreen cleaning, that's why I wasn't sure about its road legality. |
Ugh. That paint job and those wheels ruined the car. Great performance figures though.
|
From the same source as earlyer, I heard that the car is curently under new modifications, at the engine and suspensions, so it would perform better on the rally.....Well just have to see what they achieved again :)
