New suv / hatchbak / crossover ... thingy

Dodge Hornet

Quote:

This Dodge Hornet concept, which debuts at the upcoming Geneva motor show, goes after the small, spiffy and economical European B-segment. The hunched down, wide-bodied, front-wheel-drive hatch will run 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds, thanks to a single-cam 1.6-liter supercharged four-cylinder that generates 170 hp and 165 lb-ft. The engine mates to a six-speed manual transmission.

MIHALS 02-16-2006 10:04 PM

this reminds me the upcoming Skoda Roomster smashed together with Swift, so I would call it FHH (Familly Hot Hatch)

if the front had diferent face, I would like it, but this is awful...

I can only think of one reply right now... WTF??!!!

gigdy 02-17-2006 01:07 AM

it reminds me of ugly.

I think it's supposed to be a hot hatch. It doesn't look very good, but many concept cars don't, so what did you expect? It seems a little unsure of its identity, with many features normally associated with trucks (like the front grille, high driver's position), but shorter and narrower than a full-sized car. Too big to be a good hot hatch. To put it simply: it's bad.

The part that should concern all y'all - is that the design is based on feedback and surveys from the euroepean market... ;)

You guys are asking for ugly shit like that - just look at Audi, VW, MB, Volvo etc...

LotusGT1 02-17-2006 02:44 PM

Not fair...you asked for the Pontiac Aztek

Ugly SOB, same as all those other crossover shit for Europe, US and Japan. Nobody asked for that crap, that's damn obvious :P
