Top Gear At Nurinbergring

I was just watching last weeks top gear where jeremy takes a diesel jag. on the Nurinbergring for the first time. I have almost memorised the track on GT3 and cant wait for GT4, but watching this video just made me want to go race on it for real even more than I already did.

I thought this was one of the best seggments that I have seen on top gear in a long time, so I just thought I ask what other people thought about it.

Dude, are you talking about gran turismo 3? :?

Because if you are, you must be the only lucky guy in the world, to have the ring in it.

The ring is in GT3? Do you need like a sharkport to unlock it or a cheat or something?
Or do you mean PGR2?

@ adamk24: you should change the topic name a bit: it's Nürburgring, not Nurinbergring ;)

To be more precise, it's the Nordschleife (the old Nürburgring). I like this track a lot, cause it's first of all naturally planted in the hills around Nürburg, and because of it's very long and special character.

But on the other hand it's also a very difficult track and even to some extend scary, cause at some places there is no grass between the crash barriers and the small track. Everyone who has ever driven on it will agree with me.

It takes loads of laps before you know the track well. Not only is it difficult to memorise all the 172 corners, but you also have to know the road surfaces very well, due to the many bumps. There are a lot of blind corners and corners you can't see when approaching, cause they are hidden behind a hill. You also have corners that suddenly become a lot tighter, but you can't see it when entering the corner (due to the trees or a hill blocking your view). And then there are some corner combinations that look like each other, but are actually quite different. So you may not mix them up.

It's quite a thrill driving on it. I did it only as a passenger a few times and that already gave me some adrenaline ;)

I'v played PGR2 so many times that i can rember that track with no lights on! lol

I would realy like to drive on that track, like every other day, just to see if I can make it around in 6min 25sec(GT-1). Every time i down load vids of people on it, it just pisses me off that i can't race on it!

I'de really like to drive my car on there also, but i don't think shipping it from America would be logical. Soo, PGR2 is my only possiblity right now. :(

It is Nürburgring

There is no Nörburgring in GT3

The discussion could go on in the big TG breaking news topic
