My first car! - Lada Samara 1.3 :o) - SOLD
 

My FIRST car! doesnt metter how sad it could sound for 29 y.o. man :lol: All cars before was family or company cars.

Lada LOL never thought that I will own one, but thats the car I was actually learning to drive back then, my father had it, same color, same engine, same everything :lol:

Needed a car for my work that is cheap, if brakes down its cheap to fix(prices for spare parts are dirt cheap as for Skoda) and looks more-less acceptable 8)

NO rust, interior is 99% OK, brand new allseason tires, drives very smoothly for 1,3 and suprisinly not much noisy sounds for 16 years old car, has just 75.000km on the clock wich is nothing. Owned buy to ladies before me :lol: And all that fun for thrilling 643€ or 774$ :P

Its basically pretty heavy metal box on wheels, cannot imagine doing slalom in it :shock: no powersteering :lol: very VERY scary feeling after driving Opel's for last 5 years 8)

I dont give a *uck if someone thinks it looks like crap and its russian and so, well it is not the prettiest design and its almost 2 decades old(1989) but for 770€ there is NO better deal for "A to B" people carrier :D Skoda Favorit(cometitior at that time) for this amount of money would be rusted to the bones.

I actually wanted to buy 2105 as they tuned in Lotus and in same condition it would cost just half of thisone but this is waaaay younger technologywise... if there is any :lol:

And track it will not see ever, I cannot imagine it doing any of cotrolled things like drift or so, only unwaited and uncontrolable ones :) Tank's cannot drift 8)

No mods, as you said paint would cost more than whole car, about 550€. Maybe wheels but some used for sure and will paint them in white like this guy have on his samara, Ive seen them painted in white and it looks very decent and nice, maybe ripped exhaust(literally) to have slightly noisyer sound cause its danm quiet now :?

Congrats man!!! in it's time, it was a really nice-looking car for great kind of money (in comunist states). I think it really is better than Skoda Favorit and for that money you got the best :good:

so, enjoy your FIRST car, have fun with it, take care of it - here's one BIG advantage in compare with high class cars, which some guys here owns - it nearly doesn't need a care at all :prr: :fuck: :mrgreen:

yeah, in my hometown there's a black Trabant with BMW "face" and the sticker on the back saying "When I'll grow up, I'll become an M3" :mrgreen:

when modifying, don't forget about the roll cage :wink:

and how about better steering wheel? I had nice sport "4sholudered" from Favorit for 500 CZK and it was really great wheel - small and nicely thick... it should fit :wink:

and taking some tool and make the shift knob shorter isn't bad aswell :wink:

you've got large boot, so you can put nice speakers on the top and woofer to the boot :wink:

that's all and many more mods which I've done to my first car and it was just great :mrgreen:

@SFDMALEX -Powersteering is for pussys :lol: thats true only in critical situation it is priceless cause this wheel is hard to turn in lower speeds. Lowering it a bit would be nice too :P

@Mrmojo - yes, they are known for good abilitys in bad conditions, heated works almost immidietly with is very vital in winter :)

I was thinking of buying this very car but as Ronin said it would be bet up after abusing it that much, true, it was same price as mine only this car has 1.5 engine mine is 1.3, 1995(6 year younger than mine) but 125.000 on the clock a bit more rusted :?

Well after having droven almost 1000km in this... extended week :shock: I have to say - great car! :P
Had problems with electric stuff 2nd or 3rd day - wipers and side lights didt work.. and it was a bit of rain and I drove the car(had to) waving with my hands fro the windos as you should when your side/turning light dont work :oops: Solved in 2 days - stupid side bulb was dead and I was looking at it :roll: and ofcourse put it back wrong so safety discs had burndown several times(? those little things that burn down to avoid your electric stuff to burn) Guys from the czech lada.forum kame to help and in 30 minutes we checked all electric things and fixed the problem :P and they didt take no money! Great guys!! :P

Exhaust is parually rusted but the sound is grrrrreat :D when going downhill braking with engine it makes shooting(?word) sounds as a race car :lol: I hope I will not destroy it too fast so I dont have to change it with new noiseless one :( after 1000km it got a bit lowder already :?

Driving position is lets say sporty(kind of 8)), you have to sit straight cause gear stick is way in front, steering wheel is a bit too big and not very good to hold, its from softer plastic - slightly smaller sporty leather one would be great, still you feel everything that is on the road, great response(from my point of view).
Engine is lazy so you have to push it a bit more but exhaust compensates everything right now :P
Inside its pretty quiet for 16yo car, plastic stuff suprisingly doesnt make almost no noise, just little rattles, I can survive that 8)
At 120kmh all the crap from the vets flyes into the interier so its a mess inside constantly now :lol: Max I tred yet was ~130kmh 8) not scary at all, I thought I would be worse.


BTW didnt wanted to post this at all... the licence plate just shows who was the driver before me :mrgreen: jk

Car is polished 2x in a row sadly no pics, brothers shop was robbed and there was the only camera I could take pics with right now :(

I was in a 5 speed once and my friend had it at 160 the whole time on the highway, at 20min of going at 160kmh withouht any problems.

Brother sells hometextile stuff as our company does :roll: the guy came, asked to show this and that and other things... and then dissapeard with the bag with ALL papers(passport, driver licence, all keys, camera etc :x) Brother is dumb enough to leave it on the table and as we are foreigners its a pain to get all back(for passport you have to wait 3 months!!!) :| I really HATE those fucking little bitchy robbers :x You can see plenty of them in Prague.

I have no idea how to clean those things :? as I remember I saw they sell check version of Hanes manuals, there is Samara one for sure :)

No custimised plates yet, you "maybe" can have a choice to get wich you like from available ones. Maybe. Like "BLA 22 55" or so but I think you have to pay for this :?

I can believe that but didnt risk it yet cause I dont really know what to expect from engine/suspension before I take it for checking to a dealer 8)

Sadly camera was not used for 3-4 years so battery is dead, records only for 1-2 minutes and dies. No way I buy a battery cause its impossible to buy a cable for it to plug in PC :roll:

Changed few things that needed to be replaced incliding part of exhaust so now it is sooooo quiet its scary :mrgreen: Bought parts from the warehouse for peanuts :!: the guy who have racing Samara monted it all on the car :P Full cost of repairs including work - 85€! :silly:

On one side I love it cause of its practical, dirt cheap to run, comfortable(comparing to same age cheap cars fcourse 8) ) on the other hand hate it cause it has 0 image :? oh well, who gives a **it :lol:

Congrats man. And as you know. These cars will never leave you "on your way". What i mean is that there might be like 1000 and 1 problems with them, but if you have golden hands you can fix it easily, using whatever you can get your hands onto.. the car engine and all systems are just built so silmply. in estonia you can get a Moskvich starting from 30-40 USD. Yes. 30 - 40 USD. And they are moving and road-legal shape. Your 2108 should be around 450 EUR.
