Actually there are more than one ringtaxi driver, but maybe you are thinking about Sabine Schmitz.

i hope BMW would be generous enough to give them a new M5 to replace their old ring taxi's :)

Yes, but that are old E39 M5's. Since there is a new E60 M5, they should begin delivering the new ones :mrgreen:
Besides, those Ring Taxi's need to be changed every 20.000 km. So since the E39 M5 isn't built anymore, this year there will certainly be a E60 M5 ring taxi.

one line reply is that it's a taxi for hire that will bring you round the ring (or nurburgring? spelling's off) for a fee. the car used is a bmw M5 and the 'famous' ring taxi is actually a woman by the name of sabine of which there are many video clips of her speeding round. she goes round the ring like a few times a day, almost every day for the year so she's the most well travelled on the ring or something.
