This is one of the most gorgeous cars of all time , is terrible beautifull , i found this pics on ourSL.com , prices from 200k to 225k , a very rare car , i wonder how much would be a gullwing

i like this car and all but i like the Gullwing even more :o its a classic to me not this one and i dont like the front lights

I onces sat in a gullwing.. dates to the 1950's .. And seriously the car looks much cleaner than my 03 nissan..lol.. :mrgreen: The car was amazingly beautiful.. and it was up for sale for 1.5Million Dhs.. that's about 407,608 US doller Aoochh.. :|

I remember reading that the convertible was better handling car than the Gullwing. The Gullwing did not suffer fools gladly - to put it mildly - and was prone to severe lift throttle oversteer that would catch drivers unwary. The roadster's rear swing axle was reworked to counter this and was a sweeter handler.

The 300SL is one of the few cars where I prefer the convertible version over the coupe.

thanks for the cool pictures - i especially like the third last one with an overhead comparo of the 500SL and 300SL roadster. No-one can ever call the new SL ugly but the old one easily shades with awesome character lines - check out the hood and rear. Timeless classic.... :D
