Jaguar S-Type R

I know it is not mine, but it belongs to my parents (I guess that counts too). I have driven it a few times and it is very nice. It has very good pick-up. It is also very quiet too, all you can really hear is the hum of the supercharger.

It's a very fine ride and thanks for telling us the car is your parent's ;)

But the quality of the pics is very bad, why? Is there some sort of auto resize on that host?

Well the lighting really sux and the host does resize automatically when it is over 250k. I don't know maybe it is my camera. I have a Kodak Easyshare DX6490, 4 megapixel and 10x optical zoom. Are all my pics this bad?

It's not the camera for sure, but you can see on the picture that every line is not a line but like broken.. like aliasing in videogames... this happens with autoresize usually.. You should resize your pics yourself with Photoshop or similar before posting them, because I'm sure it's not the camera ;)

Nice Jag! In black that thing looks wicked. I drove an S-Type with the 4.0 and it was a pretty nice car. Id love to give the extra hp version R a go. :D

the jag s type R is indeed a fast car,i have had the pleasure of sitting in the passenger seat when this car was taken to its 155mph limiter.i was surprised how quick it got there for such a big car.im not a fan of the looks but still,its VERY fast car.

Ours was listed at $63,000. But I think we got it for $59,000. I think it is worth it.

Make no mistake - the M5 and S-Type R are very fast sedans... in fact they rule the "sedan wars"... but if that's the fastest car you've driven - you may be induced to think you can take out a Viper or Z06 or 996T etc.

And we get that a lot on the street... ;)

If I was "forced" to have a four door again - it would have been one of those 2 for sure - but then Cadillac had to go and drop the CTS-V in this segment... more guts for less money. :P

I am sure it looks different from the UK spec car. Are the wheels an option? As the standard 'R' ones over here are different. I also think the air vents with the fog lights are different.

On the street, a stock S-Type R or a stock M5 is pretty easy to run down - twice in the same sitting.. :P

No, those wheels came standard.
And I know that this car wouldn't keep up with a Z06 or an M5. It is quick, but those other cars are meant more for performance. This car is very luxurious, and people always comment on it. Too bad my parents wouldn't let me have it for a day.

Don't knock it - the Jag is quick for a sedan - really quick. :)
