Hi JB-members,

Yep, I'm still alive, alive and kicking in fact :-)

Haven't had much time to take pictures lately, haven't been to any motorsports events as well.
Had my hands full with preparing myself for some exams at the uni and with my new girlfriend.

Further on, I'm waiting for Nikon to release their new range of DSLR's. Would like to upgrade to a D3h or a D2xs.

It has been a while since I have visited this forum. I think you guys won't be mad at me for posting a few pictures which I shot last year. I just took a wild grab out of my collection. For all you high resolution lovers ... don't be afraid I have added the link to the highres-version as you can see as well.

Hope you like them ... enjoy them

Hehe, Sameerrao.
Thanks for the fast reply, I hardly got the chance to hit the "submit button" :-)

Yea, I have already checked a few posts in this forum section today. I must say that I can only see beautiful striking images.

So well done guys !!!

Perfect as always!

I think the most obvious pick for the contest is the Porker :) do you agree?

TT,

Fine by me mate.

It's the Porsche of Alzen-motorsport during the 24hs of the Ring last year. They built a Porsche with 1054 BHP with a weight of around 1200 kg. The uber machine is based on the turbo so it features all-wheel-drive and bi-turbo technic. However they got rid of the original geometric tt's. The team claim they can smash the highspeed record of speedking Veyron :P :D
They are going to Nardo for their highspeed attempt.

Cheers

I do have non-automotive ones as well of course :-) Besides motorsports I'm fond of shooting animals and landscapes as well. I have done some free-lance work before.
I have uploaded some landscapes pics on the server some time ago, but due to lack of webspace I had to delete them.

I have just read about the JW-meeting at the Nurburgring. There is always a possibility I can come over as well. The thing is that I have classes on Saterdays which leave Sunday is the only option for me. It's only a 3-hour drive if I stick to the speedlimits  But it doesn't hurt a man to bend the rules every now and then :-) I will see what I can do cause it's possible that I have to work on Sunday as well.

Nice to have you back cowboy. Those are some great pics as ever.
The Porsche and Audi are perfect panning shots but I like the Ultima the most.

Yea, I do like that one as well.
I like the angle, the way the ultima goes through the bend (composition) You have to be a bit lucky though.
Besides the cars, I also try not the forget the human part which is involved, so when I'm able to shoot "in-cockpit" views I always go for those. It's a nice extra being able to see the driver's expression. Thats why it's important to shoot with the sun in your back :D 8)

It's even possible to get that with pannings .... just love it !!!

TT,

I have sold pics before. The thing is that an English friend of mine promised me he would build a website for me. We have already sorted the url out, but until now there's nothing on yet. Thats also one of the reasons why I want to upgrade my camera (but not the main one).
It would be great if I can earn a few euros on the side. If it doesn't work out, so be it then. It's just a great thing when you can earn some money with your hobby.
I'm not very busy trying to sell my pics. It's not that it doesn't gain my interested but I only shoot for fun. I shoot those pics for myself in the first place and if anyone is interested in buying one ... no problemo. I think it will be good deal once the website is up.
I mailed some VLN-teams before. eg; Alzen-motorsport. They were very fond of the pics I had sent them but the issue is that most of them singed a contract with a "pro-photographer". These lads also take care of the team's website, so it's impossible to sell your pics to one of those. Anyway, I was already happy they sent me a nice email back :-) On the other hand, I'm too busy most of the time and don't want to shoot for one team in particular. I have a full-time job, take uni on Saterdays and a girlfriend as well ;-)

There is a chance that I will get my hands on a press-pass. I don't know what the odds are. Fingers crossed.
Shooting for a magazine gains my interest. I just want my freedom, I want being able to shoot motorsports the way I like it. I don't want to end up with shooting "ads".

I'll take a week off at work, to cover the 24hours of the Ring. Going to do some VLN-races as well :D

Hey c0wb0y! :D glad to see you back with your stunning Nordschleife photos!

BTW, there're rumours that a Seat Ibiza Cupra TDI with spanish plates will be doing some laps at the Ring next May... hope you can snap some shots!  :P

Hi Dani :-)

Nice to hear you (and all others) are going to the nordschleife. Like I have said before I don't live that far from the Ring. I'm planning to come as well, but it has to work out with my workscheme and uni. But especially with my workscheme. When it comes to the latter one I can always skip classes ;-)
Of course I will shoot the Cupra with Captain Slow behind the steering wheel, I don't want to miss you setting a new laprecord :P :P
I will do whatever I can to be there too... click click click .... nice pannings :P :P  :D

But there is one thing you have to promise me. Namely; Besides the Nordschleife, all the cool cars and great atmosphere we all have to go out for a few drinks :!: :!: :!: Not that we have to drink ourselves trolleyed but it's just about having a nice chat and a good laugh :)

I think it's going to be great :!:

take care mate

Cheers
