A bit late in my opinion but still great. I heard through a friend someone bought himself a Bentley Continental GT. The plates arent standard Philippine ones. I'm guessing the dealer wanted to make appear it came from a european dealer.

It's in Philippines but the car comes from Germany
Thanks fot the photos
It's indeed a temporary German plate, maybe just because the car had to travel on its own for a while before emabarking a plane or boat :bah:
I hope it will be spotted driving around and won't be a garage queen!

I can't even imagine driving that thing on the city streets of manila..My exact same thought. I could imagine it getting stranded on a speed hump designed to make rice rockets crunch. I heard of a story where in a Ferrari owner had to call a towing company to pick up his car from a speed bump a few blocks aways from my house.
For those who're curious the normal price of imports are twice the manufacturer's sticker price due to customs, taxes, etc.
$440,000 x 2 = $880,000 x P53.90 = 47.432M philippine pesos
The Modena I road has to do S turn to avoid a crunch what more a CGT. :)
Nice to see the distribution of wealth in 3rd world countries is still happening in a fair and equitable manner? ;)
Nice car too... :P

As opposed to the United States? :niet: :wanker: Damn Straight... the percentages change an awful lot more then (some) people realize.
sure only 5% hold 95% of the nations wealth... (the Gates/ Waltons/Stewarts of the world) but the remaining 5% is simply a HUGE vast quantity :-D its in that 5% that amazing distrabution of wealth occurs.... many of which can buy things like a CGT (why do you think Porsche is on the books to make 1500 of them? they gather at least 1500 people have the goods nessisary, and the want of their car to build them... let alone the 'competitors' 1500 SLR's (i think) 4000 FGT's, all the Bently's selling/ Maybachs being delivered...
theres a reason why the US gets the bulk of the sales

Nice car too... :PThat's hardwork for you. :D
There's a cache of great cars over here though most end up being fortified into their owner's houses because of the bad roads & unwanted attention from kidnappers & government. Not to mention the local press would savage anyone with an overly expensive auto by saying that owning was "immoral" for buying one. Fuck em I say, enjoy the fruits of your labors. :)
Rumor has it someone here has a McLaren F1 but that's been repeated for a few years with nothing tangible.
I've seen the new vette in yellow & red but no pictures to prove it. :)

That's right "fruits of your - you mean your slave's labours"... ;)
I am wearing a pair of Phillipino made shoes.. no doubt made by a 12 year old sweat shop worker making 50c a week .. while I drive in a car assembled by workers who make about $1500.00 a week - conservatively I would guess... ;)

Is the company making the shoes American, RC? I think Nike has production lines in the Philipines. Stop being such a fucking hypocritical cunt.

Thanks for the purchase RC! I didnt think you had it in you to support child labor camps. 50c would be considered overpaying already but I guess the shoe makers are generous.
I believe Nike has a plant in the former US naval/air base up north though I would be careful as there has been reports that the US military buried toxic & nuclear waste before they left 15 years ago. Things like that tend to leak. :)

Nope - I only by Chinese owned cheap knockoffs.. ;) They Noke I think :)
No US company owned shoes for me :P

RC45, sadly, distribution of wealth is the least of the Philippines worries..
but I think this topic is starting to turn into a World Political debate talking about if our shoes were made in sweat shops spread around the south pacific..

Seriously RC, why does everything have to be political with you? If evoWALO wanted to make it that, he would have posted it in the we are all terrorist forum, opps i mean the political ( :wanker: ) forum...
The way i see it, if your smart enough to make a business sucessfull, and become wealthy from it, well done to ya, enjoy it... :!:
Nice car btw... :D

RC was referring to the ethical issues concerning the distribution of wealth in "3rd world nations".
Are you saying that if I shoot you and enslave your family and use them to make me money for a CGT I should be able to enjoy the money?

Please man, you taking this way out of line. That sort of shit doesnt happen, and you know it. Their working conditions may be poor but everyone has a chance to make something of them selfs.
Just because this dude has enough money to purchase a CGT it doent mean he shot me and enslaved my family to get to it...

You've been living in the free world for too long, my deluded friend. In "3rd world countries" it's impossible to become rich by being honest and hard working. The system will not let you do that. You have to get your hands dirty if you want to accumulate a fortune large enough to afford a CGT.

Are you saying that if I shoot you and enslave your family and use them to make me money for a CGT I should be able to enjoy the money? The owner of these supercars here normally arent doing that kind of work. A rather hardworking guy in my neighborhood who owns a lot of exotics (though due to attempted robbery he had to hide his stash) owns a garbage collection company. This is for a city the size of New York. Another one runs a recruitment agency to send exotic dancers to Japan. Yet another one owns a pawnshop. I know of only one rich family that's into land grabbing though I do not want to name names. ;) Ask the fellow with a picture of himself beside an Enzo for such info.
The owner of the Porsche dealership made his money in the local stock exchange.
Those sweat shops RC's talking about are subcontracted by companies from 1st world nations. A lot of companies here follow our Labor Code when it concerns compensation & working environments.

I guess it's ok to sit and enjoy the artifacts and collections of Nazi's for what the collections were - and ignore the fact that the wealth was accumulated by theft, corruption and murder? ;)
Anyone who thinks a busiess such as garbage collection in a corrupt badly regulated country is not successful through corruption, intimidation and criminal activity is quite naive - nice car or not... ;)

I totally agree. Hell, garbage collection is a mafia-run operation even in Canada and the U.S. :|
