Sure you do.

And the only place you can go for tuning advice is an internet forum.. that is not even a Maserati specific hangout..

If it turns out you do in fact have such a car, sorry to say but you might be the seond dimmest QP owner on the planet...

I mean - why not entrust mod advice for your expensive hi-tech sports car to complete strangers from a general car forum...

Either way - since you asked, why not just buy a 250 wet nitrous kits and send us the video of the results.

Of course there will be no need for a window switch - just spray that shit from 500rpm to redline.

Oh -yeah, and welcome to the JW family :)

Setting your location to lkjlkjh also lends loads of credibilty to your story..

Simple- just give it a few NOS stickers, get some chrome dubs and draw flames down the side of the car. That's the only advice we can give you until you show us proof the car is yours.

But seriously, like RC45 already said, would you take advice from total starngers concerning modifications such an expensive car ?? That's seem a bit stupid to me...

I'm not up on my Mazeratty's.. but isn't the quatroporta a 4 door? Not exactly the young guys version the way I understand it.. :P

BTW -I I really hope this bloke is some rich Saudi prince or trustfriend kid... and he/she really has this car...

That way I can eat humble pie (which I haven't had in quite a while... ;)) - but more importantly we will not have to suffer yet another fake bullshitting liar.

Before talking/bragging about your car, please take your time to open a topic about it in the appropriate section, with lot of pics and obviously the mandatory custom shot :)

Here are the most well known mods for the QP:

1. Take out the rear seats - saves weight which is important in such a big car.
2. Buy some light-weight rims
3. Get a full carbon-fibre body for the car, further reducing weight.
4. Bolt on twin superchargers
5. Keep the brakes standard!
6. add some nozzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
7. and most importantly add some stickers to it.

Any other questions then PM me, there is not much I don't know about tuning Masers.

Just because you bathe in money doesn't mean God has blessed you with brains.

If you as wealthy as you purport to be - to have a Quattroporte at age 22, simply call the local Mazzeratty dealer and ask for the nearest tuner... then throw some money at them nad have it tuned.

Simple as that.

I mean honestly chap - just send it back to Italy and have it customized to your requirments.

:)

But of course, if you feel that online sources are the safest best bet - good luck.

No excitement at all. Saloon car racing is more exciting.

There was a pass for the lead on the 2nd last lap - thats exciting enough for me. Also there were a few daring overtaking moves by Alonso, all in all one of the most entertaining races of the season.

Saloon racing? Did you watch the Bathurst 1000, or don't they show the Great Race in the US of A?

Oh... my eyes were open... for what seemed like 104 laps under caution... what kind of lunacy is this "under caution crap"? ;)

Local yellow to show no passing, then race like crazy mofo's everywhere else... it really does seem like F1 is a simply World NASCAR with al the "level playing field" rules and stuff.

Any race that is rigged to allow the field to bunch up every few laps because of some incident is boring ;) :P

If that was the best race of the seaso - then thank the gods I missed the rest.

It was nothing short of a farce. It reminded me of exactly why I stopped following F1 in 1990... a boring procession - made even more boring with silly rules to "level the playing field and slow the cars down".

Give me a 250cc Motorcycle GP race any day. F1GP is silly made for TV soap opera crap... ;)

my favorite is prolly WRC, not the new structure of it so much, but its still just insane talent. F1 i appreciate nearly as much as ALMS endurance racing (i think FIA GT shares the same races as the LMP1 cars in europe... racing on the best tracks in the world, simply great.

F1 is easier to watch since its a sprint race--- fastest racing this side of AGL, but i have more respect for cars running extreamly fast for 1000km, 12 hours, 24hours etc. the sportscar races are good, but the prototypes just are the worst looking race cars in i dont know how long

You see thats were it is just plain different mate. WRC is different from F1, F1 different from Endurance Racing, Endurance from WRC...

As far as pure difficulty goes I have to say F1, then WRC or maybe they are on par.

Reason why appriciate F1 so much is because guys like Schumi and Kimi drive on the absolute limit the whole race. When you watch those onboard you can just see that lap after lap after lap these guys are 110% concentrated and giving it all.

Endurance racing on the other is nothing like that, everytime I see an onboard cam from ALMS cars I can tell that the car has much more grip availible then is being used, because they need to conserver etc.

WRC, well Rally drives are just straight up mad man what can I say.

So its 3 very different series. I honestly respect all 3 equally, but for me heart there is nothing better to see then a 550 and Vette going at it at Road America or Spa with a DB9 just behind em...

Damn I love this sport.

100% agree on those crazy rally drivers 8)
did you watch the race @ road america last week? the MC12 vs. C6-R vs. DB9R... damn close between them most of the race, the MC12 was faster through the bends then the vette, but they had some serious tire problems, the 'vette was definately the best of the gt-1 class overal, and the db9 wasnt far behind at all... im thinking at this point its because of driver talent, since it was right there most of the way.

No it's not weird to tune cars - whether coupes or saloons... what is wierd is to have all the money to buy such a machine and then none of the enthusiasm or sense to know what mods and tune-kits and options are available before you throw the cash at it... then again it is not so strange - having the money does not always mean you have the enthusiasm or sense for either.

Again, if you wanted to tune the "saloon" you bought - shouldn't you have done this homework as to what tunign is available and who can do it before you bought the car? ;)

And again - where is the mystery, just call up the local chapter of the Mazzeratty club and ask for the names of the appropriate tuners and send the car over their way with a trunk full of cash in the boot.

Problem solved ;)

You may find we humour fools rather badly around these parts ;)

you know, i bet at speed i could get some serious positive pressure.. relieve some of the heat generated by the boared KKK turbos, i just need to find some good flexible ducting, and duct tape. intercooler efficiancy needs to be improved by 10% to still be streetable for driving more then a few miles.
