I was lucky last weekend to meet a toyota sportivo driver on my local twisty course with along with six other WRX drivers and a insecure 200sx driver , and we when on a cruise together, since I was going to go there anyway.
Great people, had great fun, it was good to meet fellow enthusiasts so easily and the type of driving I do too!

What I found most impressive though is this Corolla Sportivo, to me it looked awesome and I don't partculary like "tuner" car look. I thought it was a civic type R at first and not a corolla!

However this vehicle was awesome, on the twisties it keeped up with WRX's and it was stable at speed and around corners too. 110KW, front bracing, tuned susupention and front cold air intake. The owner tuning philosophy was overall balence, hence his main mods focus was suspention. "Tuners" to me are nearly always rice but when done correctly you can get great results from a seemingly "average" car :)

well, I dislike the corolla very much.

This one looks ok, but still, I'd take the civic type r over it any day.

I like the rims.

Is the front hood carbon ot black. I like it.
But from the hood down, the front end is ugly.

Not a bad ride; does it have the 141kw celica motor in it?
I think it would be an interesting car to own with peak torque not kicking in untill 6800 rpm.
Might have to keep a dyno sheet in the car to show the cops; "sorry officer but I have to rev the crap out of it! ".
Not bad for $29000 though, but l'd like to see the same motor in the MR-2(MR-S) .

i agree with you're opinion on the corolla sportivo they are awosme cars, having been in one myself, they rev like a motorbike (i believe yamaha helped design the engine) Not to much a fan of that carbon fibre bonnet thoe.

now it's funny you mention seeing a Sportevo on a WRX cruize, because one a wrx cruize i went on about 6 months ago, a sportivo was there, and i recall talking to the girl and she was saying how she could keep up with the WRX's ..most of the time
