Looks like another lazy designer, didn't even bother to change the headlights. Only noticable change i can see is the sharpening of the lines around the rear window and new foglights.

It's probably the same guy that designed the "new" Porsche 997.

It looks like rubbish. The arse is the fat momma version of the new SLK, and roof over it looks like... well... a roof. From a house. In china.

Lazy!? What are you talkin about man!? the changes are totally significant...the headlights are different style than the latest ones that the 163 has...also the interior is totally different, no more center console window buttons and different glove compartment...

Aren't you happy you sold your M-class and learned a lesson? :)

looks much less like a van from the back.. much different actually, just proportions are the same almost, c pillar angle is the same as the lexus. it almost looks smaller, but im sure it wouldnt be by much.

good design, probablly poor execution though

HAHAHAHAHA....Mercedes is trying to copy all the Asian manufacturers, the front end looks like a combination of a Lexus RX300 and a Kia Sorento and the exhaust looks like it's from a recent Acura MDX. Not to mention that the C-pillar looks a lot like the one on the Chrysler Pacifica....oy vey, the old one was bland, but at least it wasn't ugly.

Thank you mercedes. Not bad at all. Why are they phasing out the 500? is this a all across the board or just ML Class? the 5.0 liter should make more power and torque than a 4.6 liter when tuned to max, so why are they discontinuing it?

Mercs had a chance to make a car closer to the lines of the X5 and Cayenne... but they've done it again... a dull and boring SUV. However... it looks much better than the old one.

Yup, totally agree.

SSoooooooo much better than the pos old one. But it's still bland and uninspiring (i'm sure all the cashed up posers and soccer mums will buy them anyways)

Very Nice, I like it. Clean and simple design. Hopefully there are massive technological improvements along with this, not just a new skin. I want to see the ML63 AMG now
