This morning (very early to avoid people/traffic) there was a meeting for the members of the Ferrari Club of Perth, and I was lucky enough to be allowed to attend. All the cars met in a carpark in the city and had coffee/muffins then left for a drive down south for breakfast. I didn’t follow them on the trip since I wasn’t really invited for that part so I didn’t want to push it. :(
They didn’t stay in the carpark all that long, and some came just before they left so I had to rush my photo’s a little….but they are still good enough I hope. :)
I went there expecting only Ferrari’s, and mainly older ones, but on two occasions I heard an almighty roar from down the road and turned to see a Lamborghini driving towards me. They come to these meetings since there are not enough Lambo’s in WA to warrant starting their own club.
I also took a video (19Mb, nearly 4mins long) of all the cars leaving the carpark, none of them really floored it but the 355, 360 and the Lambos still sound great. I’m not sure of the best method of sharing it is, as I could upload it to the vault but then a lot of you miss out….let me know if you have any ideas. I’m not sure how to best make it better picture quality, currently its 705kbps (320x240) and it sounds good but the picture is a bit fuzzy…there are no options in Windows Movie Maker to record at higher resolution. Any advice?
Ok, enough waffling, here are the pics:

A 40th Anniversary Murcielago, one of only 7 in Australia according to the owner….but I read on the net only 50 were produced and only 1 made it to our shores:
Here is the star of the show arriving :D: :

Thanks for the compliments guys, still not sure which number (1 or 7) is right for the 40th ann. Lambo. :?
I only just found out about the event, through a friend of a guy who owns an old Ferrari....and got in contact with the president who gave me the details of when/where etc. :D

No sorry TT, I was trying to take pics as quick as possible that I didn't get multiple shots of alot of the cars. :(

BTW, Mr.T has kindly offered to host the video so that might be available in the near future. :D

Thanks a million for the group of pics....every car just look stunning despite not all ferrari are red, yellow or black(my three favourite colours to suit a ferrari). In fact, this is the first time that i see the 360 under this bizarre colour, the other cars such as the Diablo, Murcielago, Elise, just look awesome as well...you must have had continuously the smile in the face when you were alongside these cars

beaver, i read there were 50 made on carpoint.com.au....someone will have to confirm for us. :D
Thanks Ford Capri, yeah the smile didn't leave my face for long thats for sure.

thenumber1, it sure looks stunning....that colour is just perfect IMO. It sounds just as good as it looks, I have him idling in front of me on camera and its a brutal sound, just wish he floored it down the road.

Thanks alot man, I will get it to Mr.T as soon as we organise something....I think I'll just leave the quality as it is, the sound is more important the the video anyway.
Just don't get too excited, none of the cars really accelerated hard...but these cars still sound good doing normal driving.

Great pics, I really like the Lamborghinis, the wheels are really cool on the Murci, and the yellow Diablo looks great without the wing on the back!

Good job! :D

Anyway, I think the Diablo front spoiler is standard....like the one below:

There were only 50 of the 40th Anniversary specials made, according to http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/Murcielago/40th/index.html , and most of them went to places other than Australia.
Its sure nice to have a rare car in Perth, instead of them ending up in Sydney/Melbourne like the Enzo's and CGT's. :P

they also said there was only one been imported to australia - why the owner say 7 ??!

^ Thats a very good question, I would have thought he would want to make his car sound more unique by saying its the only one. :?
It is possible though that some Aussies bought second hand versions from overseas owners and therefore there could be more than 1.
I hope not though, it would be nice to have the only one in Oz in 'our' city. :D

I have finally managed to upload the video, so you guys can have a look....its 14.5MB and runs for just under 4mins. It has the 355, 360, Diablo and Murci leaving the carpark...plus a few others. :D

Once again thankyou very much to Mr .T for hosting the video, I appreciate the help very much. :D

Thanks beaver, there were more than 6-7 people though....about 20 cars and 2 people in each car (since most are 2-seaters)....a shame really, if a seat would have been vacant in the Lambo I would have forced my way in.

Heres part of the lineup, mostly older ones since this was taken before the 355, 360 and Murci turned up:
